Cellulose acetate fibers are comfortable, breathable, excellent absorbent, hypoallergenic, has good draping qualities. They can be dyed in many different colors bringing deep brilliant shades in the process and can be combined with a range of other fibers such as rayon, cotton, wool, silk; therefore can be used as for textiles (linings) and clothing (blouses, dresses, wedding and party attire) as for home apparel – furnishings, diapers and surgical products, upholstery and slip covers and etc.

Its lustrous sheen and smooth, satiny texture make it a good synthetic alternative to silk.

Due to selective absorption and removal of low levels of certain organic chemicals, Cellulose acetate fibers have been widely used by tobacco industry for production of cigarette filters. Today, more than 90% of cigarette filters are made using Cellulose acetate fibers.
